Just in case you forgot about that InfoLITHIUM battery, you get reminded every time
you turn the camera on. It's also handy as a quick visual check of the time and
date info stored in the camera too.
![]() Because the FD-95 has live video out during all record and playback operations I can now document the screens like I do with all the other digicams. This was not the case with the FD-91, it only output video while in the Play mode. A typical record screen with the camera in programmed automatic. Icons onscreen for battery condition, both visual and digital. Image size ((160, 320, 640, 1024, 1600(3:2) and 1600)). Next picture number and a graphical disk space left icon. The lightning bolt indicates the flash is forced on. The flower icon indicates that the camera is in macro mode. The hand icon lets you know that the SteadyShot image stabilization system is on.
Across the bottom is the record options menu. See the following frames for more
detailed info.

The first menu option on the left is for the self timer. Next is the EFFECT options
where you can enable time and date stamping or turn on one of the special
effects - see next frame.

Special effects available are: Solarize, B&W (black & white), Sepia and
Negative Art.

Recording modes are: Normal, E-Mail (uses more compression for smaller files),
Voice for recording audio memos or Text which is a high contrast mode for taking
pictures of text documents.

Image Sizes are: 640 x 480, 1024 x 768, 1600 x 1072 (3:2) and 1600 x 1200.
These are all JPEG compressed modes.
